FOOTBALL

  • How many practices are there during the week?

    • Heat acclimation will start the week of July 20th

    • The players will wear their helmets for the first two (2) practices, then add shoulder pads at the 3rd practice, and finally add all pads for the fourth and final practices.

    • Official regular practices will begin on 07/27

    • Each practice will be two (2) hours long - 6pm to 8pm Monday - Thursday. 

    • Once school begins practices will be reduced to three (3) days a week.

  • ​What do players wear during practices and games?

    • Practices

      • Players must wear cleats, shoulder pads, practice jersey, practice pants with pads & girdle, helmet, and mouth guard
    • Game Day
      • Players must wear ​cleats, shoulder pads, GAME DAY jersey, pants & socks with pads, helmet,, and mouth guard
  • Do players need buy any of the equipment?
    • Yes - you are responsible for purchasing:​
      • football cleats​
      • mouth guard
      • girdle
      • leg pads for practice
  • Are there any volunteer/fundraising requirements?
    • Yes.​ - The cost and success of the organization relies heavily on the dedication and collaboration of our players, coaches, and parents. ​Additional requirements are notated on the registration form. 
      • Players will not be able to participate with any outstanding paperwork and/or unmet volunteer/fundraising requirements.

 

CHEERLEADING

  • How many practices are there during the week?

    • Practices will start the week of 07/20 

    • Each squad will practice two (2) hours Monday - Thursday.

    • Once school begins practice will be reduced to two (2) days a week - we will also cut practice time due to the loss of daylight around mid-September.

  • Does my child need to come to every practice?

    • This is an individual choice BUT we cannot stress enough that the first four (4) weeks of the season are extremely important.

      • Cheerleaders will learn all of the content during this time ​

        • side-line cheers, half time routines, hello cheers, and stunts/positioning​​​​

  • How long are the games?

    • Games are approximately 2-3 hours long. 

    • All games have 4 regular quarters and an additional 5th quarter. 

      • Cheerleaders are expected to cheer for all 5 quarters​

    • Cheerleaders must cheer for the first half in order to perform in the half time routine

  • Are there any volunteer/fundraising requirements?

    • ​Yes.​ - The cost and success of the organization relies heavily on the dedication and collaboration of our players, coaches, and parents. ​Additional requirements are notated on the registration form.
